After claiming that Princess Rafita, the daughter of the Dubai ruler, was detained by the royal family, photos of her life appeared on social media.
The tape was released in February and said she was afraid of her life while being “hostaged” by her father, but she hasn’t been seen or heard for months.
The first widely released photo by Sky News on Instagram this week seems to have been taken at the Mall of Emirates VOX Cinema.
It remains unconfirmed so far, and it is unknown when it was taken. However, the advertisement of the movie “Devil’s Hitman: Infinite Train” released on May 13, 2021 is displayed in the background.
The face mask on the table also shows that the photo was taken during a coronavirus pandemic.
David Haigh, co-founder of the FreeLatifa Campaign Group, told the BBC in a statement:
“I have no intention of commenting further at this stage. More statements will be issued at the appropriate time.”
The two women in the photo have other social media accounts. One of them commented on an Instagram post: “A nice night at MoE [Mall of the Emirates] with friends. “
Neither woman has responded to requests for more information from The Telegraph.
In February 2018, Princess Latifah, one of the 25 children of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Almak Toum, tried to escape from Dubai.
She was forcibly captured by armed men eight days after sailing the Indian Ocean.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum claims that Princess Latifah is safe and healthy.
