Ann mixed martial arts The fighter, nicknamed “Pitbull,” scored a knockout so fast that the round clock didn’t even flash on the screen during the broadcast.
Ukrainian light heavyweight Bogdan Gnydko competed in the eighth professional fight of his career at the KSW 73 Nine Bout Card in Kostorwal, Warsaw, Poland.
Playing against Polish fighter Damien PiĆowalczyk midway through the event, Gnydko experienced one of those “blink and miss” moments when he finished off his opponent with his first attack, a counter punch.
Piwowarkzyk tried to uncork his kick, but after a few seconds he got stuck and had no idea what had hit him.
He was on deck and completely escaped in a matter of seconds.
Everything happened so fast that the referee barely took a step toward the center of the cage and had to take action when Gnydko started wailing at Pilowalczyk, who was defenseless and unconscious on the floor.
The official result was a 5 second finish. This is the fastest knockout in the history of European martial arts company KSW.

Gnidko joins another combat sports pro at the 5 Second Knockout Club.
Jorge Masvidal famously finished Ben Askren with a flying knee in a 2019 UFC fight, the fastest knockout in UFC history.

However, Uly Diaz was one ahead of both Gnidko and Masvidal when he scored a 3-second knockout in his 2020 Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship match.
