New Jersey police catch a one-month-old baby thrown from a balcony upstairs


Police in New Jersey caught a one-month-old baby after a man threw a child from a balcony on the second floor of the building, officials said Saturday.

According to Jersey City Mayor Stephen Flop, the unidentified newborn was not physically harmed.

In an Instagram post, Fulop thanked police officer Eduardo Matute and published a photo of him holding a baby.

“We commend the JCPD and all police officers involved in their heroic actions and in drawing safe conclusions about this dangerous situation,” the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
