Cairo-Nine people, including five Sudanese, were killed and 43 injured in a car accident in southern Egypt early Thursday morning, a senior health ministry official said.
Of the injured, 40 were believed to be Sudanese, but identity verification procedures were underway, said Ehab Hanafi, Deputy Minister of Health.
Witnesses told Reuters that the bus was coming from Sudan and heading for the city of Aswan in southern Egypt.
According to two guards, the bus turned the road and capsized after colliding with a truck.
