Northrop’s “MEV-2” satellite has been extended for 5 years as a working communications satellite

Following Northrop’s MEV-1 “Life Extension Satellite” at the beginning of last year, it successfully captured the Intelsat 901 communication satellite which had been “out of oil” and provided it with a 5-year service life extension service. The satellite also successfully captured the target Intelsat 10-02. Unlike MEV-1, which is in contact with Intelsat 901 on the disposal track, MEV-2 directly captures the Intelsat 10-02 which is still working.
