In order to promote Nothing’s debut Ear 1 headset, founder Carl Pei has been proficient in using the marketing methods of the previous company OnePlus. Following the publication of the translucent pipe-shaped design by Teenage Engineering, Nothing confirmed earlier that Ear 1, a true wireless headset that can achieve active noise reduction based on three microphones, will be priced at $99 (approx. RMB 640).
According to Nothing’s plan, Ear 1 will be officially unveiled on July 27. In addition to the rather special shape, it will also have “leading specifications.” At present, it can be speculated that this is likely to be a product that emphasizes cost-effectiveness. Boss Pei seems to want to replicate the success of the original OnePlus mobile phone.
