Apparently lacking a basic understanding of how television works, Congressman Greg Stube (R-FL) on Thursday told CNN that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi heard the committee on January 6th. He confidently accused him on Twitter of allowing the news of the meeting to be broadcast from the floor of the House of Parliament.

“The fake # January6thcommitteehearings are purely for television ratings. Pelosi has the Communist News Network build the complete television set on which Abraham Lincoln’s desk once stood.”

The screenshot attached to Stube’s tweet is shortly before the House Committee investigating the January 6 Parliamentary riot was convened for a hearing focusing on former President Donald Trump’s approach. , CNN Anchor Jake Tapper reveals interviews with former Mike Pence aides Alyssa Farah Griffin and Olivia Troye Pressured his beep To overturn the 2020 elections.

The background image for CNN’s set was an image of the statue hall where Lincoln’s desk was supposedly located.

Of course, CNN didn’t install a television in the statue hall or elsewhere on the Capitol grounds. Tapper and the company were in the Washington, DC studio on the network. Steube mistaken the background of the apparently digitized green screen for a real deal.

Republicans in Florida deleted the tweet within 30 minutes of posting it.

“Someone seems to have got a clue to the magic of modern television,” a network spokesman told The Daily Beast. The Steube office did not immediately respond to the request for comment.
