Faced with hills and headwinds at the Boston Marathon, Dmytro Molchanov couldn’t stop thinking of his friends and family who had returned to Ukraine. “When it was really hard, I tried to push without giving up. It’s like fighting myself like the Ukrainians are fighting Russia now,” he said after crossing the finish line on Monday.
