Police said three people were killed and four were injured in a shooting at a house party in Wilmington.
Wilmington police said Saturday they were investigating a shooting that took place after midnight.
Police said in a news release that police were dispatched to 718 Kidder St. after the shootout was fired and found that “a shootout broke out in the house” upon arrival.
Seven people were shot and three died. According to the release, the other four are being treated at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Police spokeswoman Jessica Williams said all four surviving victims were in stable condition.
Williams said he was unable to provide information about the suspect and motives.
The agency said it was still working on notifying the victims’ families and was unable to publish their names. Williams added that these names are likely to be open to the public around noon on Saturday.
