Shooting in downtown San Diego kills one and injures four


A shooting in downtown San Diego’s bustling Gaslamp Quarter killed one person and injured four. Police say the 32-year-old suspect was arrested and hospitalized after being tackled by bystanders. (April 23)

Sarah Miller: So we were outside, waiting to line up with Marley Mash for COVID, and you start hearing gunshots. And on the other side of the street, you can see hundreds of people. Well, it looked like hundreds, but quite a few people are running around the corner for their lives. And everyone was just starting to run, and Marley Mash’s security opened the door, as if everyone had entered. Everyone entered. So, about protecting everyone and getting inside safely, they were great about it.
