Sony just bought another studio, but we are not talking about Housemarque a few days ago, but Nixxes, which was newly announced on Thursday. This game studio in the Netherlands is well-known for porting games on other platforms to the PC platform. Earlier, it assisted Eidos in optimizing and porting the “Tomb Raider” series and “Marvel’s Avengers”. Jurjen Katsman, the founder and senior development director of Nixxes, said that they couldn’t wait to cooperate with Sony to assist game developers such as PlayStation Studios with the studio’s technology and expertise.
This acquisition shows that Sony has plans to port more exclusive works to the PC platform in the future. Last year, Sony launched “Horizon: Zero Dawn” and “No Longer” on Steam and Epic Games Stores, and Sony CEO Jim Ryan said that Sony will port more of its own platform games to the PC. By the way, Nixxes is already the fourteenth game studio owned by Sony. I don’t know how many surprises Sony will bring to everyone in the future.
