“Target shooting” at home in Richmond, British Columbia killed four people: police

Richmond, British Columbia — Police say four people were found dead in a targeted shooting at their home in Richmond, British Columbia.

The integrated murder investigation team says police officers were called home on Tuesday night after receiving a complaint.

Investigators say the shootings are not believed to be related to the ongoing gang conflict in Lower Mainland.

“The identities of the victims have not been disclosed at this time, but they are believed to know each other,” police said in a news release.

The murder team says it is checking to see if surveillance cameras are useful for the investigation.

The shooting is believed to have occurred around 7 pm on Monday, and police are also asking witnesses or anyone who may have video from the area to come forward.

“This is a traumatic event that the community is awakening,” Sgt said. David Lee says in the release. “We want to provide the community with an immediate answer.”
