Around 4:30 pm on Christmas Eve, a female victim noticed a mobile phone under a stall in Fort Worth’s Hulen Mall.
The woman was confronted by a suspect described as “a man dressed to look like a woman” who tried to flee the mall.

Another person witnessed the confrontation and tried to intervene, but the suspect reached into his backpack, pulled out what appeared to be a handgun, and aimed it at the male witness.
Police say the suspect left the mall afterward and saw a handgun in his waistband as he changed.

officers have arrived and arrested the man. His weapon turned out to be a pepper ball gun.
Egan is being held at the Tarrant County Correctional Center on bail totaling $30,000. Prison records did not list an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
