Xiaomi’s Redmi G gaming notebook is updated today, and this time the new product is usually the pursuit of cost-effectiveness. In terms of the relatively less important body texture of game products, the factory decisively did not choose to stack materials. The new Redmi G uses a plastic body, weighs 2.7kg, and the frame width of the screen is also considerable. The device is equipped with a full-size three-level backlit keyboard, and it also provides a 7.1-channel speaker with DTS:X Ultra sound. The screen is 16.1 inches, with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, and can switch between 72Hz or 144Hz refresh rate. The maximum brightness of the panel is 300 nits, it supports 100% sRGB color gamut, and it also has anti-blue eye protection.

The new Redmi G can choose AMD Ryzen 7 5800H or Intel’s 11th generation Core i5-11260H processor. The corresponding GPU models are GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3050, and it also supports direct connection of discrete graphics cards. The device has built-in dual 12V fans and 5 copper pipes, and uses a four-outlet design. As for the memory and hard drives, both 16GB and 512GB. In terms of connection ports, both models have two USB-A 3.2 Gen2, one USB 2.0, one HDMI 2.0, one mini DP 1.4, 3.5mm headphone jack and a dedicated power jack. The AMD version is equipped with a 230W charger, and the Intel version comes standard with 180W. The 2021 Redmi G gaming notebook will go on sale at 10 am on September 23, and reservations are now available. The initial launch prices of the Intel and AMD versions are 5,699 and 6,999 yuan, respectively.
