The family identified the female driver killed in the crash as Angelica Gabriel Dondup. They said Dondup had just married a high school lover and was on his way home from a wedding reception at the time of the crash.

The family said on the GoFundMe page that Dhondup has left two sons and one daughter a week away from adoption.

After the crash, UHP said passers-by stopped to help Toyota pickup drivers and passengers. However, the driver stole a good Samaritan pickup and was soon arrested by a soldier. The passengers fled, but later returned to the scene.

The driver for the pickup was not identified. UHP said impairment was being investigated as the cause of the collision.
