The final victim of an Ontario plane crash that killed an identified international fugitive

Police have identified the last victims of a plane crash in northern Ontario, killing four people, including a Canadian who wanted to be killed in Thailand.

According to Ontario police, 27-year-old Hankun Hong in Richmond, British Columbia, died in a Friday-Saturday crash near Sioux Lookout, Ontario.

British Columbia anti-gang forces have previously identified another passenger, Jean Lakamp, as the suspect desired by Thai police for the murder of a man belonging to the gang.

Other deceased are Duncan Bailey, 37, from Kamloops, British Columbia, and Abinaf Handa, 26, from Richmond, British Columbia.

According to police, Handa was a pilot and was operating a private plane.

Sgt. Brenda Winpenny of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit in British Columbia states that anti-gang units are investigating connections between passengers and trying to determine why Lahrkamp boarded.

“The connections between individuals who were on the plane together are clearly what we see naturally,” says Winpenny.
