The first full day of the Ottawa federal election campaign begins today with Justin Trudeau’s announcement in Quebec.

Liberal leaders will leave Longueuil, Ontario after a press conference at 10 am and make several stops along the way to Cobourg, Ontario.

Shortly after Trudeau’s morning announcement, NDP leader Jagmate Singh will make his own in Toronto-a liberal base where he wants to turn orange.

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole is sticking to Ottawa today, but he plans a “virtual phone town hall” with the Newfoundland, Labrador, and Ontario communities at night.

But he starts the day with what his team claims as a “major announcement.”

Governor Mary Simon disbanded Congress at Trudeau’s request yesterday morning, and voters headed for a poll on September 20.
