The free convoy has pointed out the point

Dear Freedom Convoy: It’s time to go home. Declare victory and withdraw from the Heart of Darkness. The protest is over. And it worked.

I know. Justin Trudeau is still the prime minister and is annoyed. But seriously, think about what could have happened and what happened instead.

Many things may have gone wrong. Protests are prejudices, uncontrollable, or both, and their causes may have been dominated by those who have caused permanent harm. Instead, it was quickly rejected, not repeated, and disproportionately blown away by embarrassing critics, calling flags and signs to the blasphemy of the Terry Fox statue, and claiming that the swastika was scribbled on the flag. There was an isolated incident. Many overheated people consider Nuremberg Clary and Trudeau to be fascists.

A celebrity who isn’t inherently friendly to you tweeted on January 31st. I’m glad I was wrong. I’m glad he said it clearly. And yes, it’s something I’m proud of. Not because most of you tended to runaway, but because any big protest attracted some strange people and they could get out of hand.

Instead, a lot of things went well. Abuse may be frustrating, especially given the disorder and extremism in other protests that do not cause “two minutes hate” from the legacy media. It’s like actually destroying a statue. But these people didn’t show up to you, regardless of how often they retweet each other. Instead, you came and acted in a jujutsu way, and MSM threw himself on the floor with a tantrum that didn’t make friends or affect people. You showed them as you’ve long wanted.

As for Trudeau, he ducked out and people saw it. As many have seen, including some skeptics, the convoy was primarily composed and representative of the large and polite Canadian majority with patience. They heard the chorus “Sexists, racists, KKK, truck driver convoys are leaving,” but most were not persuaded.

To prove that all upward noses were pointing in the wrong direction, a new Angus Reid poll found that 54% of Canadians increased by 15% this month alone, ending all COVID restrictions. I hope that. Not all credits are obtained. But you get a lot. You said what many people are thinking and boldly told them to say it all over Canada and around the world. What more can you hear?

Answer: Elegant exit. Don’t blow it off now. You can’t get rid of PM by coming to Ottawa a lot and saying he stinks until you get started. Our system doesn’t work that way and shouldn’t. Because even if St. Francis was Prime Minister, thousands of people, from persuasive to plausible to shy and insane, were angry and convinced that he was for the bird. ..

If you prolong the protest, it will disappear or explode. And for what? Jim Watson, Mayor of Ottawa, said, “Frankly, [residents] They felt they were prisoners in their homes, “and called on the police to” discuss seriously about moving these people. ” Puffy. But don’t stay until you prove him. Instead, note the immortal words of Calvin Coolidge, America’s last truly conservative president. “In my experience, it’s best to leave while they still want you.”

Speaking of cooling and history, we need to study our political system when we go home. One of my former colleagues wiped out the protest, saying you’re less likely to vote in a climate protest than the children of the grunge mob. Again, pfui. But it’s true that many of you didn’t have a very clear idea of how to reach your goals.

Either of them is ok. Most people weren’t high school debaters (I’m obviously), and you weren’t ready to get down to Ottawa and nevertheless put it into a deep sleep with sophisticated thinking. So they don’t think much about you. But as a chattering class historian and member of the opposition, our true ancient constitution is worth preserving and, in fact, saving from the current devastation, so it’s worth understanding. Let me claim to be beauty. And that is the next task.

We people made Magna Carta. I don’t care where your biological ancestors were in 1215. Your political ancestor was in Magna Carta. Then a parliament came from Magna Carta, and a legislature was elected whose task was not to govern the executive branch, but to control it. This system is not working and should work.

So you insisted on freedom and showed a mockery. It’s time to take the victory home and continue with dignity and concentration.
