(AP)-Roof shooters fired at an Independence Day parade on the outskirts of Chicago on Monday, killing at least 6 people, injuring 24, hundreds of marchers, parents with strollers , Children on bicycles run away in fear, police said. The suspect remained loose hours after hours as authorities searched the area. Chris O’Neil, commander of the Highland Park police and on-site case commander, urged people to evacuate while authorities were searching for the suspect. He said a “very active arrest effort” was underway on Monday afternoon.
