The agent said Woodstock police had witnessed the incident and implemented a traffic stop leading to the arrest of the suspect’s archer.

The sheriff’s office has identified the suspect as Acworth’s 61-year-old Wade McCuan.

Trend story:

Investigators said McCuan prevented 25-year-old Jason Duxon from overtaking him several times on Highway 92.

McCuan began pointing his gun at Duxon, who turned around and went in the opposite direction. The agent said McCuan continued to fire at Duxon’s car and shot at least 14 rounds.

Two of them attacked a successful Duxon near a local business. Duxon was taken to a conscious and alert local hospital. He is expected to survive.

McCuan has been charged with worsening assault, reckless behavior, and reckless driving.

Authorities say the investigation is underway.
