Gaza Strip, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israeli troops say Palestinian militants launched rockets from Gaza on the country’s south Friday. This is the second incident in 24 hours.
The rocket did not cause any damage or injury.
Earlier on Friday, Israeli aircraft attacked three facilities operated by Hamas, a radical group that controls Gaza, in response to a previous rocket attack. This includes weapons manufacturing and smuggling sites.
Israeli response came after the military said Thursday night that a projectile launched from the Gaza Strip had landed in the southern part of the country. The rocket broke a relatively calm week across borders. There were no reports of damage or casualties. In and around the Negev desert town of Sderot, a siren rang to warn of the arrival of a rocket.
Israel has accused Hamas of attacks emanating from Palestinian excursions.
