The plane had to make an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after the man began knocking on the pilot’s cabin door, CNN reported.
The cockpit was not breached, the press said. The man was taken to a federal detention center CBS Los Angeles report.
The video of the incident shows flight attendants and passengers detaining a man who repeatedly says “stop the plane.”
Another video shows a man zipping his wrists before getting off the plane.
Delta thanked the people who helped stop the hijackers.
“Thanks to the crew and passengers of Delta Air Lines 386 to Nashville (BNA) for helping detain the unmanageable passengers when the flight changed destinations to Albuquerque (ABQ). “The aircraft landed without problems and the passengers were removed by the law enforcement agency.”
