Doctors break down what apple cider vinegar actually does to your body
Apple cider vinegar is essentially a fermented juice, and acetic acid, the main component associated with its health benefits, is found in all types of vinegar. If you swallow it, studies suggest that it can help lower your blood sugar after a meal. Also, when used to rinse hair, it can cause hair odor and kill some of the microbes that cause dandruff. But from treating yeast infections to tooth whitening, almost every other benefit you hear isn’t supported by scientific research.
