Kabul, Afghanistan (AP) —Afghan officials said three children aged 4 to 7 were struck at their home in Kabul on Wednesday, shocking even the inhabitants who had hardened in decades of war. ..
Kabul police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz said investigators had no suspects in custody, but believed the killings were the result of a family feud. The parents of the child, who were neither at home at the time of the killing, told police that they had no enemies.
The mother, who did not want to be identified, told police that she had left her children alone while attending the funeral. Her two boys, four and five, and her seven-year-old daughter were home from school.
Family relative Mohammad Roheen said the perpetrators seemed to give juice and biscuits before killing the children. There was no evidence of forced entry.
