The last time ZTE launched the Axon product line of mobile phones, the main push was the world’s first mass-produced (but to be honest with limited availability) under-screen camera solutions. This time I came to the brand-new Axon 30 series, the selling point went to the back of the phone, and it became relatively conventional. The Axon 30 Ultra, which is in charge this time, uses 64MP photosensitive elements in three of its four rear cameras, which have the same visual sense of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The first is the main camera, the CMOS model is IMX686, equipped with f/1.6 lens, and also supports optical image stabilization. Next is the ultra-wide angle, the CMOS is ISOCELL GW3, the lens aperture is f/2.2, and the field of view reaches 120 degrees. The last 64MP is a 35mm equivalent focal length “Superhuman” camera, equipped with GW3 and f/2.2 lens, this focal length is really not seen on a mobile phone.

On the basis of these three shots, Axon 30 Ultra also has an 8MP periscope telephoto camera, which uses an f/3.4 lens, has optical image stabilization, and can achieve 5x optical zoom. In terms of functions, ZTE has prepared a new “multiple shots at the same time” mode, which can take a photo at the same location with different focal lengths, and then allow users to browse together. As for another new machine, Axon 20 Ultra, only two of the four cameras on the back use 64MP CMOS. They are the main camera using the IMX682 sensor and the ultra-wide-angle camera the same as the Ultra. The other two are more “make up the numbers”, one is a 5MP 3cm macro, and the other is a 2MP depth-of-field camera.

The front of the two new models are both AMOLED screens with a hole in the top middle. The Ultra model has a 6.67-inch curved surface, resolution FHD+, refresh rate and touch sampling rate of 144Hz and 300Hz, and supports 10-bit color depth and 100% DCI. -P3 color gamut. The Pro model uses a flat design, and the specifications are mostly the same as Ultra. The difference is that the refresh rate and touch sampling rate are 120Hz and 360Hz, respectively. In order to meet the needs of eye protection, both have anti-blue light and DC dimming modes. The back cover is made of glass only, and Ultra will add plain leather models on this basis. The weight and thickness of the Ultra are about 188g and 8mm, while the Pro models are 186g and 7.86mm.

As for other specifications, the new phones will be equipped with Snapdragon 888 processor, LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage, and have a VC liquid cooling system. Among them, the Ultra battery is 4,600mAh, which supports 66W PPS wired fast charging, while the Pro is a 4,200mAh battery that can charge 55W. Both phones are equipped with multi-function NFC, Ultra has more linear motors, three microphones, dual-frequency GPS and WiFi 6E support. The new machine will be pre-loaded with the new version of MyOS system. At first glance, it really reminds people of Vivo’s OriginOS.
