Twenty-eight years later, a Texas woman cut a long Guinness record nail.

About 30 years after women raised the longest nails in the world, Ayana Williams finally made them into history.

Williams is a Fort Worth dermatologist who recently had a total of more than 24 feet of nails removed.

Williams, 62, was active Guinness World Records Holder For the longest fingernail by women since 2017. She stopped cutting her nails in the early 1990s.

However, people from Houston had a hard time performing routine tasks such as washing dishes and making beds. Not to mention the time it took to apply her nails and the time it took to apply 3-4 nail polishes each time.

Dr. Alison Reading, Department of Trinity Vista Dermatology, Fort Worth, cut the nail using an electric rotary tool after the final measurement of the nail again. Her nails were more than 24 feet in size with both hands.

Williams nails will be on display at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! A museum in Orlando starting on Friday.

“It will feel like your own wax. It’s just my nails, but it’s going to be great. I can’t wait to see it,” she said. “I would rather [Ripley’s] I have more than anyone. It’s the history of my children and my grandchildren. It’s very exciting. “

After the removal, Williams was particularly relieved at the thumb and knuckles. She looks forward to a simpler lifestyle, but the moment was bittersweet.

“I’m still a queen with or without nails. My nails don’t make me, I make my nails,” she said. Williams said he was going to stretch his nails again, but he wasn’t going to record the length.

“You can do it yourself! Let’s all be yourself,” she said. “If you want to stretch your nails longer, do it!”

The longest female fingernail record ever recorded is by Lee Redmond. Her nails totaled 28 feet 4.5 inches.
