Two people died after shooting in a German supermarket — police

Berlin — Police said on Twitter that two people were found dead after being shot in a supermarket in central Germany on Tuesday, adding that there was no danger to the public.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 1 pm local time (1100 GMT) in Schwalmstadt-Trisa, a town of about 8,500 people northeast of Frankfurt, the financial capital of Germany.

They said it wasn’t clear what happened yet. The local newspaper HNA said witnesses said the man shot the woman at Aldi’s outlet and then shot himself.
