Prince William, Kate’s children George, Charlotte and Louis to use new surnames after Queen Elizabeth’s death

Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, three of Queen Elizabeth II’s 12 great-grandchildren, took on new surnames following the late king’s death. 9-year-old George, 7-year-old Charlotte, and 4-year-old Lewis all have the surname Welsh from Cambridge, a name they have been using all their lives. The siblings, whose parents are Prince William and Kate, currently go by the titles Prince George of Wales, Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Louis of Wales.
