Kim’s aunt wife from the Democratic People s Republic of Korea appears in a rare public place in a pandemic.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s wife and influential aunt rarely appeared in state media on Wednesday as the ruling party’s family remained unobtrusive during the coronavirus pandemic. Kim Kyong-hui’s wife, Ri Sol-ju, and her aunt Kim Kyong-hui attended an art performance at the Mansudae Art Theater in Pyongyang, the capital, celebrating the Lunar New Year holidays, state television said. Prime Minister Lee was last seen publicly on September 9 when he visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun with her husband. The palace houses the antiseptic bodies of Kim’s late grandfather and father on National Foundation Day.
