We tried 5 chocolate chip cookie mixes and one blew the competition out of the oven

When it comes to chocolate chip cookies, I have to admit that I’m a little expert. After releasing the debut cookbook, “Basic BitchenMy own chocolate chip cookie was the most popular shared recipe that came out of this book. It’s big, fluffy, a little salty, and most importantly, soft and sticky. With a fun and crisp shell.

Baking Homemade chocolate chip cookies Very simple, but not simple enough for many Americans who rely on premixed box kits to satisfy their sudden sweet desires. These flour, sugar and chocolate chip blends usually require only one softened butter and egg before being mixed into the dough and ready to roll out and put in the oven.

Sure, it may be our instinct to call this type of baking “lazy”, but many box kits are actually very tasty. In fact, most people may be comparable to your grandma’s famous recipe.

We tested five popular mixes and found the one with the softest, chewy, goo-like, melt-in-the-mouth cookie. There are times and places for super crispy cookies, but this is not a summary.

Here’s how the cookie crumbled in terms of texture, such as taste ranking.

The flavor supplemented what lacked a soft texture.Like below Brownie taste test The ranking of these box kits, done a few weeks ago, was like tearing hair. None of the products disappointed us, but they tended to spread a bit during baking, resulting in a crunchy edge. But this wasn’t a bad thing, and it was probably a favorite for many. But if you’re a lover of soft cookies, you may be a little confused by the unbalanced mouthfeel (unless you eat them right out of the oven). It tastes great, but it’s classic, cake-like, and not overwhelmingly sweet. If you’re in a pinch, soak one (or four, to be honest) in a glass of milk and indulge.

4. Annie’s Organic Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix (Taste # 3)

Annie’s baked goods have something like joyful butter. These cookies (like brownies ranked number one in taste) exude almost oily richness with each bite. However, due to the butter content, they too (like Betty Crocker) were a bit too clear to our taste. You can always undercook them to keep them soft, but you’re likely to have chips that don’t melt completely, and that’s not just an option. However, Annie’s has received two major acclaims for using only organic ingredients. They are virtually healthy foods! * (* Not really a health food.)

3. Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Chip Premium Cookie Mix (Taste # 4)

Ghirardelli makes solid cookies — nothing less or more. And I give the brand a cry in my cookbook for its decadently smooth and rich milk chocolate chips (which I absolutely love to bake together), but I’m still perfect for that dark chocolate I’m not riding on. It was just a little too bitter (although this dozen was countered by the taste of vanilla and provided a more harmonious balance of cookies and chocolate). But these will certainly satisfy any desire, so I don’t even pretend that I would sniff at them if they were offered to me at any time and at any occasion.

2. Foodstir’s Organic Chocolate Chippy Cookie Mix (Taste # 5)

These “healthier” cookies boasted an incredibly soft texture, but were a bit inferior to other competitors. Probably because it has 25% less sugar than most mainstream brands and certainly tasted that way. Sure, the sweetness-reducing gestures were highly appreciated, but they’re aimed at the mid-week fuss, not the weekends we promise to spoil. We say we’ll grow up or go home, but make sure you keep them on standby in case of an emergency.

Mr. Jones, I’m sorry. But you make very good organic cookies. They received the highest honors not only in softness but also in taste, and received high praise and unanimous praise from everyone who sampled them. Darker shades may be due to the higher brown sugar content, which traps water in the presence of molasses, thereby creating a soft and sticky cookie. This also made them taste a bit like caramel, and it was beautifully paired with the wheat forward notes of their pastry flour blend. To be honest, I didn’t really taste the sea salt-promoted cookies (the prize goes to Foodstir), but they were so delicious that no one cares.
