Miami-Dade County and local cities are preparing for a potentially busy weekend to avoid repeated spring breaks this year.

A local attraction away from Miami Beach, a holiday hotspot in downtown Miami

What’s the weather on Memorial Day weekend?

MacArthur and Julia Tuttle Causeways will be closed on holiday weekends.

On Friday, MacArthur, which connects South Beach to downtown Miami, began leaving only one lane facing east open until around 4 am the next day. The closure will start again at 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday and end at 4 am on Sunday and Monday.

The Julia Tuttle Causeway, which connects Mid Beach to Miami’s 36th Avenue, will have two east-facing lanes from 10 pm to 4 am the next day. The 10 pm lane closure will take place daily until Sunday.
