Wife accused of shooting husband over Christmas, friend shocked

Friends of the couple in New Jersey are upset after their wife was accused of shooting and killing her husband on Christmas night.

Murrue Wigglesworth, 51, has been arrested on suspicion of shooting her husband of 57, David Wigglesworth, in her Atlantic City home. Atlantic County Prosecutor.

The couple’s social media pages were filled with happy pictures of their seemingly blissful life, along with vacation photos and images of various events.

“Unbelievable,” a friend wrote on Facebook. “I’ve known Dave and Mary for years. This can’t be true.”

David Wigglesworth, nicknamed “Wiggy” by family and friends, was a former Republican candidate for the local Township Commission and a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club in Atlantic City.

Police have not disclosed a motive for the alleged murder, but are actively asking people to provide information to help unravel the mysterious case in what they call an “active and cooperative investigation.” ”

Meanwhile, friends of the couple have expressed their shock and confusion.

“This is inconceivable to me. Such wonderful people,” one friend wrote on Facebook.

Another said the pair’s online posts showed no signs of a problem at all.
