Evan Matthews said he often sees bears running, but no one dared to approach them.
“This was of interest to me, so I had to change that mindset,” he said. I have written..
Matthews chose to explain the reason to the urine inquisitor rather than using the bear spray, which he considered as a last resort.
In videoDespite the harsh opposition of Matthews, we can see black bears in the “Cinnamon Phase” coming out of the forest and stepping onto the road.
“Hey, no!” Matthews shouts. “It doesn’t matter if you’re hungry. I’m not your food.”
The bear keeps moving forward.
“Of course,” says Matthews. “You can take a walk if you want, but you can’t get any closer.”
One defense Expert To be able to get rid of wild bears is to play dead. However, Matthews chose not to do so. This is a black bear, and a solo bear who is so interested in humans is “not trying to eliminate the threat, but trying to find an easy target. Don’t be one.”
Matthews receded into the car, kept talking to the bear, trying to persuade him to be human and “not to be mistaken for another animal.”
After half a mile stalking the runner, the bear returned to the forest.
“Well, this is the first time I’ve been attacked by a bear,” Matthews laughed. “It was exciting.”
